The Powerupdates system is a real time content management system which, put simply, is an online database which a user can log in to and add or edit data on their website.
The data takes the form of web pages , images, files (e,g, PDF documents).
This diagram shows a simplified version of a user adding data to PowerUpdates and instantly a user can view this data on a WWW website.
This turns a website which was "static" into something which can be live and even interactive.
