In season 2009-2010 up to 20 drivers from New Zealand will pilot Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in an eight-round national championship at the leading motor racing circuits and events in New Zealand.
GT3 Cup racing is exciting for a reason - the cars are as close to identical as you will find in any motor racing series in the world. The winning advantage comes down to driver and team skill, experience and sheer determination. |

HALLIDAY SET FOR PENULTIMATE PORSCHE SUPERCUP RACE IN BELGIUM
New Zealand racing driver Matt Halliday considers himself fully prepared for the penultimate round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup being held in Belgium this weekend. The race will be run on one of the most historic and demanding circuits in world motor racing - the fearsome Spa-Francorchamps track located in the forests of the Ardennes region.

HALLIDAY & GILTRAP RACING IN BUDAPEST FOR PORSCHE MOBIL 1 SUPERCUP
New Zealand racing driver Matt Halliday has arrived in Budapest (Hungary) for Round 8 of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and is looking to continue his increasing form after some spirited performances in recent races. Having become more familiar with the new tyre compound being used in this season’s championship, the Californian based Kiwi racing driver has now made his way into the top ten in the points standings- despite two dnfs earlier in the season.

HALLIDAY ACHEIVES GALLANT 9TH IN HOCKENHEIM PORSCHE SUPERCUP RACE
New Zealand racing driver Matt Halliday has powered his Giltrap Racing Porsche 911 GT3 to a well deserved 9th place in Round 7 of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup held at Germany’s Hockenheim circuit on Sunday night. Halliday was a star of the race after having to battle his way up from 16th grid position following an initial set back in the exceptionally close qualifying session. With weather conditions varying over the weekend, the race was eventually run on a dry track which again showed Halliday to have good racing pace.

HALLIDAY SECURES SOLID 8TH IN PORSCHE SUPERCUP AT SILVERSTONE
New Zealand racing driver Matt Halliday has secured a solid 8th place in the latest round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup held at Great Britain’s Silverstone circuit over the weekend. Round 6 of the championship was a support event to the British Formula 1 Grand Prix and proved to be a welcomed result for the Californian based Kiwi driver who worked his way up from 10th grid position in the highly competitive field.
