 The school recognises the importance of broadening horizons and extending the talents of our students. Participation in a range of programmes is a vital aspect of the educational philosophy associated with the education of pre adolescent students.

Such participation is not to be considered as an interruption to the normal learning process, rather it should be considered as an enhancement. The school offers an extensive range of enhancement programmes held throughout the week.  Classroom teachers monitor the types of involvement their students participate in, and they see the need to utilise the range of activities offered to cater for individual differences.

Careful monitoring and encouragement given to the students to “get involved” will ensure that no student is denied the chance to participate in the exciting challenges offered.

It must be noted that” prioritizing” is a learning process, and the students discover that on occasion their options and choices may well conflict with other interests and activities.

Gifted and Talented Students

A number of programmes exist specifically designed to extend the many talented students we have at the school. Programmes in advanced computer teaching, education technology, instrumental music, choir, dance, drama, speech making, mathex, art extension, cultural and sporting extension programmes are just a few examples of the enhancement programmes provided at this school.
